1 Information we do not collect

2 Photos and videos

Photos and videos captured in the App are stored locally on your device, inside the App's storage. You control them entirely:

3 Device permissions

The App does not request microphone or location access.

4 Sharing features

Sharing is always started by you or your event guests at the device, and is performed by Apple system services or apps installed on your device (Mail, iMessage, WhatsApp, AirDrop, the iOS share sheet, and AirPrint for printing).

If a guest types an email address to receive their photo, that address is used on the device solely to compose the message. It is not transmitted to us and we never see it. Event hosts should be aware that photos shared by guests travel through the services the guest chooses (e.g., their email provider), which are governed by those services' own privacy policies.

5 Optional cloud backup (Google Drive and Dropbox)

You may optionally connect your own Google Drive or Dropbox account to automatically back up event photos.

Your use of Google Drive and Dropbox is subject to their privacy policies:
Google: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/privacy

6 Analytics and crash reporting

The App uses Google Firebase in release builds for:

These reports do not include your photos, videos, or the content of anything you type. Firebase is operated by Google LLC; its processing is described at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

7 Purchases and subscriptions

Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through your App Store account. We never receive your payment details. To verify an active subscription, the App sends its App Store receipt to Apple's receipt-validation service; the result (e.g., subscription active/expired) is stored securely in your device's Keychain. Apple's handling of your data is described in Apple's privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

8 Event Mode password

The Event Mode password you set is used only on your device to lock the booth screen. It is not transmitted to us.

9 Data retention and deletion

Because your content and settings live on your device (and, if you enable backup, in your own cloud account), you are in control of retention:

Analytics and crash data held by Firebase are retained according to Google's retention policies and are not linked to your identity by us.

10 Security

Purchase state and cloud access tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain. Photos and settings are stored in the App's sandboxed storage, protected by iOS device security (passcode, Face ID/Touch ID, encryption at rest).

11 Children

Photo Booth Studio is a general-audience app and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Event hosts are responsible for obtaining any consent required to photograph minors at their events.

12 Event guests

If your photo was taken at an event using Photo Booth Studio, the photos are held by the event host on their device and, if backup was enabled, in the host's own cloud storage. We do not have access to them. Please contact the event host with any request to access or delete your photos.

13 Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g., GDPR in the EU/UK, or Mexico's LFPDPPP), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because we do not hold personal data about you beyond anonymous analytics, most requests can be fulfilled directly on your device as described in Section 9. For anything else, contact us at contact@booth-studio.com and we will help.

14 The website

15 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available at https://booth-studio.com/privacy.html with its effective date at the top. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date.
