Can an iPhone really run a photo booth?

Yes. An iPad is the ideal booth device — its larger screen is easier for groups to see, and it supports landscape orientation — but an iPhone photo booth has real advantages of its own: the front camera is often newer and sharper than the family iPad's, the phone fits any $15 mini tripod, and it's the device you already carry to the party. Settings that matter on iPhone

Event Mode on — on a personal phone, the passcode lock matters even more, since the device holds your private messages and apps. Pair it with Guided Access; see the kiosk mode guide.
Do Not Disturb — your booth should not display your incoming messages.
Portrait orientation — the iPhone app runs in portrait; step the camera back a little further to fit groups in frame.
Power bank — a phone running the screen and camera for four hours will need a top-up.

Printing from an iPhone
